Step One: Discovery
The primary key to understanding successful large-scale system implementation begins with assessing your organization’s business needs and existing processes. ProLink begins the evaluation by performing in-person interviews of stakeholders to define current business processes, identify issues, and pinpoint potential areas for improvements. During these interviews ProLink analyzes existing spreadsheets, document templates, databases, and applications in order to understand the data footprint in context of the business processes. After the interview process, ProLink produces documentation for the current process and proposal for the future process which serve as high-level requirements between ProLink and your organization.
Step Two: Design
Once we’ve identified your organization’s existing processes and architecture, we can begin to construct an enterprise software solution specifically tailored to fit your business needs and processes. We create and document an interactive prototype of the proposed application that will allow your organization to validate the design against the business processes. Once approved, this documentation becomes the final detailed requirement set and is used by our development team to build the application and by our quality assurance team to test the application. The objective of the prototype and the client review is to verify all documented design criteria before development begins, controlling rework costs. These documents are later used to create help text that will be attached to the application and eventually training material.
Step Three: Implementation
After approval of the design documentation, our development team begins the engineering process, building a tailored software solution from ProLink’s robust framework and feature set. During each iteration cycle, developers work with client stakeholders and business analysts to resolve any unforeseen obstacles or flaws with the design. Strict coding standards are enforced ensuring consistency and continued maintainability of the application. Automated unit tests are built and executed, allowing our developers to quickly find and fix any errors before reaching our quality assurance team. Upon completion of each iteration, a production-ready version of the application is published to staging environments for testing. During the next step, ProLink’s quality assurance analysts perform comprehensive testing on each module of the software. The team converts the design specifications into step-by-step instructions, called test cases, to properly test the developed functionality. By breaking the design documentation down into granular testing instructions, every possible combination of complex business processes can be tested and passed with confidence.
Step Four: Enhancement & Support
